PRAYER LETTER
December 2008

The reason that Christmas is extra-special to me….

All wrapped up with Christmas things,
Scarcely time for Carol sings.
No time for the babe in the manger,
Too busy searching for that Power Ranger.

Why then would all this be special to me?
It’s what the Lord used to draw me, you see.
Many years ago amidst all the glitter and glitz,
I cried out to the Lord, “There must be more to Christmas than this.”

That began a journey that has been quite a treasure
Sometimes sorrow and often pleasure.
The Lord led me and saved me and called me to serve
With your help and prayers I continue with verve.

In my last letter I mentioned how it appeared that I would not be able to take a MANNA trip this year. The Lord knew my heart’s desire, and some weeks later allowed me the opportunity to go to Panama with a group from the church we attended when Bill was called into the ministry. I was doubly blessed by renewed friendships and being able to minister to these precious children. There is exciting news from Panama. The Panamanian government has finally officially recognized our MANNA Home and has now placed five children (ages 14, 11, 6, 2 and 11 months) in our care. What a wonderful opportunity to nurture them both physically and spiritually. Pray that they will soon come to know the Savior. This Christmas will be particularly special for them. Your partnership helps to make this possible.

All I can say is, “Thank you, and may your Christmas be wrapped up in special blessings.”
