Dear Pastor and friends,
Good News for Young and Old
While looking for a gift at a market place, I came across the path of a
young man named Alex selling souvenirs at a shop. At age 23 Alex was an
alcoholic drug dealer and addict and has two children from two different
relationships. Alex received an invitation to attend a church event we were
about to have. He
then received Christ as his Savior and was baptized and was receiving
counseling with his first partner.
I hope to make contact with his mother who has visited us as well and filled
out a visitors card. His mother has terminal cancer and we hope to win her
to the Lord as well. She was very excited to see her son turn his life
around.
Yielded to Christ
Janet and Omar are a young couple who have been attending our church for
some time now. Recently during one of our services both Janet and Omar
raised their hands for salvation. After church I had the privilege to visit
with them and lead them to Christ. Since then they are presently being
discipled. Omar is helping with the sound equipment and Janet who is an
elementary teacher has volunteered to teach children The are also attending
one of our marriage (Fireproof ) Bible studies. They are excited to finally
see their marriage working and to see how God has given them a purpose in
life. The have decided to be baptized this coming week.
Never to Old
Enrique is 73 years old and living by himself. One day Enrique decided to
attend a Bible study in a church members home. Enrique was one who wanted to
invest in “mother earth”. He thought his greatest investment was after he
died his body would return to the earth to replenish it. I explained that
the greatest investment that Enrique could leave behind on earth was the
legacy of Christ in the hearts of men. Enrique accepted that as a more
worthy investment and decided to receive Christ into his own heart. Enrique
wants to be baptized this coming week.
Surrendered to Serve Sammy
and Jessica have been members of our church for about a year now. Sammy was
involved in last years camps which had a great impact on his life. Recently
Sammy came to me wanting to surrender to full time service for the Lord.
Sammy and Jessica have been working with the youth for several months. Now
they will be in training and ministering full time with our youth.
