Update

December 2008 - January 2009

 Dear Pastor and Friends:

There is a large rock next to the entrance of the Bethel mission. It is unusual; we are not sure where it came from. Perhaps it was placed there years ago when they put the highway through, but it symbolizes what we are trying to do. The real battle here, as elsewhere, is to reach families, win them to Christ and teach them to build their houses on the Rock—that Rock is Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 10:4).

I had the privilege of leading Danny Tushka to the Lord today. He is 54 years old and has terminal lung cancer, unless God intervenes. I wish we had reached him earlier so that he could have built his house on the Rock.

We also request prayer regarding these health issues: There is a nasty virus going around this year, almost everyone in the churches has had it and some can’t seem to completely get rid of it—Bro. Sonny and Mrs. Donna (Swink mission) were very ill last week with it; Bro. Sparks (Bethel mission) is recuperating from surgery and please continue to remember Cala’s health problems.

Thank you again for your faithful prayers and support.

Therefore whosoever heareth
these sayings of mine, and
doeth them, I will liken him
unto a wise man, which built
his house upon a rock:

Matthew 7:24 (KJV)
