The Williams Family

Tony was born on February 29, 1972 in Raleigh, North Carolina. After his parent’s divorce, Tony lived with his mother in Jacksonville, North Carolina.  Upon graduation from Jacksonville High School, he attended North Carolina State University

Heather was born December 25, 1972 in Norfolk, Virginia.  While not growing up in a Christian home, she was raised with good morals and standards. When she was 5, her father began working for the military.  They lived in many places around the world finally ending up in Jacksonville, North Carolina. After graduation from high school, Heather attended North Carolina State University. 

Heather and Tony met during their senior year in high school and continued their friendship into college.  They eventually began dating during the summer of 1991.

In December of that same year, Heather’s father accepted Christ as his personal Savior.  He shared his faith with both Tony and Heather.  He led Heather to the Lord on May 31, 1993.  Later, he was able to lead Tony to Christ on July 20, 1993.

Heather and Tony joined Mid-Way Baptist Church and were married on June 10, 1994. 

Heather and Tony surrendered to be missionaries following a missions conference in the spring of 1995.  Having recently graduated, they decided to work for one year before pursuing Bible College.

Heather worked for Zaytoun Orthodontics.  Tony taught Technology Education at Jordan High School in Durham, North Carolina. 

Heather and Tony served as Dorm Supervisors at Atlantic Baptist Bible College.  While at Atlantic, Tony and Heather were members of Calvary Baptist Church.  It was while at Calvary that Tony and Heather surrendered to go to Nicaragua.

After graduation from Atlantic, Tony and Heather moved to Jacksonville, Florida and worked at University Baptist Church. Heather graduated from Louisiana Baptist University in May 2000.

Tony and Heather have 2 children:

Moriah Ashleigh  was born June 24, 1999 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Jonah Gabriel  was born March 21, 2003 in San José, Costa Rica.
